[Steel Composite Bridge] Part 1 - Wizard Modeling & Post-Wizard Modifications for Complex Bridges

 

Purpose of the Training

MIDAS implemented the modeling wizard for steel plate girder composite bridge applications. The modeling wizard is capable of creating a finite element analysis model data based on the layout information, section/material property information, loading condition and sequence information input.

The purpose of this training is to demonstrate how to efficiently utilize the steel composite girder bridge modeling wizard by understanding the model data generated by the modeling wizard and learning about how to re-do the wizard generation or modify the data created by the wizard.

15 mins Post-Wizard Tasks 1 - How to re-execute the wizard for modifications  
15 mins Post-Wizard Tasks 2 - How to make modifications manually based on the model created by the wizard

The trainer will demonstrate how to use the below four approaches in creating new model data or modifying the existing model data.
1. Modifications using the wizard
2. Manual modifications using the regular node/element, property, boundary and load functions
3. Modifications using texts
4. Modifications using MS Excel
